A. The Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) is an independent organization within the IRS. TAS is there to ensure that every taxpayer is treated fairly and that you know and understand your rights. Their advocates can help if you have tax problems that you can’t resolve on your own.
A. The Washington University School of Law Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic assists low-income members of the community in resolving their tax disputes with the IRS. All services are provided free of charge and are administered by student attorneys working under the supervision of experienced tax lawyers.
